and The Walking In the Neighborhood Program
Join the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, Abbott Nutrition - Glucerna signing up for the health and fitness program, Walking in The Neighborhood.
The Walking in the Neighborhood program is designed to encourage people living with diabetes to use walking on a regular basis as a way to help control their blood sugar level and overall health, while urging those at risk for the disease to use walking as physical activity to assist in preventing diabetes.
Ten to 15 walking paths will be designated throughout the Columbus area and the goal of the program is to encourage 2000 people to join and walk regularly for health and wellness.
Other partners include: The Columbus Public Health, City of Columbus; Columbus Recreation & Parks Department and the Central Ohio YMCA.
