On January 29, 2016, Mrs. Jeanne Braun celebrated her 91st birthday. She is a spirited individual who at the wonderful age of 91 continues to do great things including assisting others through her annual one-mile swim (occurring this year on April 17th) which raises funds for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. Last year Jean received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the agency in recognition of her loyalty and commitment to making a difference.
The former Spanish teacher has raised over $10,000 in the time that she has been participating in the Swim for Diabetes, for 18 years . “I had a sister, two nephews and a niece who had severe diabetes. My primary love is swimming. So I thought it was great, that I had something I loved and could do to support something like people with diabetes. That’s how I got started,” Braun remarked. We encourage you to consider making a donation towards her effort as a way to recognize Jeanne's commitment to doing things for others despite being 91 years young!
